An old concept I wrote in my agenda.
Don’t burn your own soul with the flames people throw at you. Don’t leave bruises, marks or burns on your own skin because other people feel cold. Don’t let it in. And when you do, don’t let it out. Don’t show them you’re shining hate. Don’t show them you’re drowning in the dark. Don’t let them taste the hate they cooked you in. Don’t let them see what they’ve done to you. Don’t let them in at all.
Sometimes a flower grows better when its roots are fully free. Grow alone. Grow in front of a mirror and watch it like the sunset, a falling waterfall, watch how you grow, how you’re alive. How you’re surviving. And don’t be afraid to admire it. It’s okay to love yourself. You’re a beautiful person with a beautiful mind and you’re not any less than others. Loving yourself has never been a crime. So appreciate yourself. Never let go of that. Don’t let anyone take it away from you. It’s all you got.
Don’t burn your own soul with the flames people throw at you. Don’t leave bruises, marks or burns on your skin because other people feel cold.
